No Al & Mike Show this week, or next

Due to the holidays, we will not be having an Al & Mike Show either today or next week, since Wednesday falls on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve concurrently. We will return on January 7th for a whole new year of Al & Mike at Western Standard Radio.

This downtime will allow us the time necessary to complete the technical upgrades to the A&MS studio which will be the springboard for a brand new show we'll be launching at WS Radio in the new year. We'll keep you posted, as we head into what is going to be our best year yet!

Episode 47 - Coup!

We discuss a potential looming constitutional crisis, as a Liberal-NDP coalition, supported by the Bloc faces off with Stephen Harper and the Conservatives for power. We discuss the implications, what the Governor General may do, and what we think she should do. Jay Currie joins us for the hour.

Note: We recorded a special pre-show presentation, covering the speeches of Harper, Dion, Duceppe and Layton which is available exclusively through the podcast feed. If you want to hear the pre-show, please subscribe the podcast below

We debate the automotive bailout in the first half. In the second half we're joined by Emrys Graefe and James Cohen. They talk to us about being dismissed from their radio station, and we get nitty and gritty in free speech and the cultural and political values around it. Great show!
